Jesse Diamond’s photographs are made with the mindset of a documentary photographer. This, combined with a cinematic sensibility, allows him to create stark, uncompromised images. His process, whether it is observational or participatory, produces a body of work that is as emotionally diverse as the range of subjects that he photographs.
Diamond’s professional career has been noticeably broad. From solo gallery exhibitions such as the contemplative Drive series; to the boldly graphic, non-contextual Drum Circle project, published by Nazareli Press. His assignment work stretches from Harper-Collins “A Day In The Life” documentary (photos which were featured on NBC’s Dateline), to shooting studio and location portraits for Sony Records. In 2004, the International Photography Awards selected Diamond as Fine Art Photographer of the Year.
Jesse Diamond is based in Los Angeles, California.
